Glenfarclas
Glenfarclas is nieuw in de top-10 na een excel analyse van scores in de lijst begin 2010. Bijna ongemerkt heb ik zoveel uitstekende scores toegekend in de loop der jaren aan deze sherried whiskies, dat de gemidelde score ineens ruim boven oude favorieten als Lagavulin bleek te liggen. Van de standaard expressies van Glenfarclas zijn met name de 17 jaar en 21 jaar oude zeer de moeite waard en de grote prijs/kwaliteit topper is uiteraard de klassieke leeftijdsloze 105 op 60% ABV. Voor mensen met grote beurzen: de 40 jaar oude Glenfarclas 105 en jaren 60/70 distillaten.

Glenfarclas is new in the top-10 after an excel analysis of scores carried out early 2010. Almost without noticing I added so many high scores to these sherried whiskies that the average score suddenly ended above old time favourites like Lagavulin. From the huge number of standard expressions the 17 years old and the 21 years old are worth buying and of course the great price quality giant is the classic 105 at 60% ABV and no age. For people with a lot of spare money: the 40 years old Glenfarclas 105 en in general distillates from the 60’s and 70’s.
